Maybe I'm a dork, but I really like metallic slippers that look like they're from the 60s, like these:
I'm going to put them on my Christmas list.

Christmas List
OMG, omg, omg!
I just woke up and went downstairs to get coffee and you'll never believe what was stuck to the front door of my apartment building:
They never even asked me if I'd be home!
Oh, those rude girls—I hate them! And I am NOT going to sign for their package today.
I mean, am I being crazy here? It's totally bad manners, right?
I need to leave them a note of some kind today. Or maybe I should just wait until they actually do come up and knock to see if I'll be around to say something.
Thoughts?

Guess who has a UPS delivery attempt notice stuck to their mailbox right now?
And guess who's not going to sign for it tomorrow if they're not around?

I was talking to my dad on the phone this morning and asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He said he wanted that "new thing that just came out for the TV. You know... TiVo."
You know when your eyelid subtly twitches like a little heartbeat? That's been happening to my right eye for about two weeks now. It started in Florida. I thought it was being triggered allergies (they were bad when I was there), but now since I'm home I'm not so sure. It could be caused by stress, but I'm not really stressed out right now (unless I'm seriously surpressing it.)
It's so irritating.
Writers of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report put the following videos on YouTube. They're very funny.

Writers Guild Of America Strike WGA
Excellent Grey's Anatomy tonight. Excellent, excellent—the best in ages. (Finally, I was losing hope!) I mean, I cried (that poor pencil dude and his gal pal), I cheered (go Bailey!), I laughed (how fabulous was Sydney?)... Did anyone else watch?
It's a shame that selfish Hollywood studios are preventing the great writers who wrote this episode from doing their job.
Here are my thoughts on Britney's latest foot-squashing episode...
If you get as close to a moving vehicle as all these paparazzi dudes do, then you shouldn't be surprised when your foot gets run over.
Los Angeles needs to pass a law that states paparazzi can't get within five or ten feet of a moving vehicle. If I were Brit, I'd run people over, too. The commotion outside her car is totally insane.
So is anyone going to read the new Oprah book, The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett? It's 900 pages long, but Oprah swears you'll be able to get through it. It takes place in medieval times or something which doesn't exactly appeal to me, but Oprah said it didn't appeal to her either. (Oprah this, Oprah that... do I sound like I'm in a cult?)
Anyway, she said it was one of those books that you don't want to end. She'd stay up until like two and three AM reading it and would pace around between chapters because it made her so nervous.* She really sold me on it.
I don't know if I'll be able to stay focused on it (Karyn's attention span=none), but I'm thinking about giving it a try and wanted to know if anyone else was going to also. Let me know!
*The movie "Maria Full of Grace" made me pace. I stood up while watching it because I was so nervous.
Did anyone else watch these two nuts throw down last night?
I kind of always have. Well, ever since Sydney was cool on Melrose Place. Remember her?
And then I once met Norma Kamali and she had the prettiest red hair and that just made me want it more.
And I gotta be honest... I really think Lilo rocks the red well:
And now I just saw these pictures of Isla Fisher and I want it even more:

But thine thing is, I don't think it would go well with my skin tone. Every time I tell my friend Mark about my red-haired fantasy he says, "You'll look ridiculous!" Maybe he's right. I need to try on a wig somewhere.

I love this little pin. It looks all sweet and innocent, but isn't. I want one! I want one!

Who would've thought I'd have a celebrity sighting in CT? (I'm still at my sister's house.) I just saw Keith Richards outside a cute little French restaurant in town. I think his brother-in-law owns it or something like that... people always see him there. According to Wikipedia, he lives in Weston.
Hello everyone! I returned from my fun-filled family vacation. I sat next to Nora on the plane ride home and she farted the whole way there. It was funny... I was in the aisle seat, she was in the middle, and some guy was sitting next to her by the window. I kept smelling something and thought she had a dirty diaper because, you know, kid farts always smell like poop or fruit, but alas... it was just a bad case of gas. The guy kept looking over like, "Where's that smell coming from?" Poor dude...
Anyway, toward the end of the flight she totally passed out. I tried to take a picture of her and this is what I got:
She had just polished off a bag of chocolate chip cookies.
Remember when you could just fall asleep anywhere (and it wasn't liquor induced)? Those were the days...
Hello everyone! I'm alive and having a gay old time with my family in Naples. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but I have terrible cell reception where I'm staying and no internet connection. I'll update as soon as I'm able. Thanks! xx
