I found this in a drawer. I tore it out of a magazine some time ago.
The average woman smiles 62 times a day.
A man? Only eight.
Kids laugh around 400 times daily.
Grown-ups, just 15.
Smilers in school yearbooks are more likely to have successful careers and marriages than their poker-faced peers."
Smile and laugh today!

omg where did you get that clock? My parents have had one like that (except it isn't silver, it's dark wood colors) for years and I have never seen anyone else with something that looks close to it!
Thanks Karyn, that's just what I needed today!!
That clock is awesome!
I think it deserves a post of it's own!
Interesting.... I will have to go back and check out the girl's yearbook pictures to see if they will be successful :)

Great post - smiling and laughing are important parts of our emotional arsenal and in these days of lives in the fast lane we as a species (especially in the first world) are tending to neglect them. On a recent trip to Africa I was amazed at the difference between our 2 societies - I encountered much laughter despite the povery whereas in my NY city you can walk several blocks and not see a smile amongst thousands of people...
